The Cirque du Soleil production of LOVE appearing at the Mirage
in Las Vegas opened June 30th, 2006.

Ryan wrangled tickets to the gala premier on June 30th, 2006
for Donna & Ron and it was wonderful!   Because we had very short
notice and it was a holiday weekend, we could not get a flight so we
had to drive out.  It took 20 hours driving straight thru but it was worth it.

Below is a short video about LOVE that was run on Dallas CBS Channel 11.  It includes a brief interview with Ryan.  The video is about 6.9MB, so it may take a bit of time to load.

The Time Magazine web site did an article on the show.  They used a picture of Ryan in one of his costumes.

Below is a picture taken at the opening with some cast members and VIPs including (back row, L ro R), Gilles Ste-Croix (Director of Creation), Yoko Ono, Dominic Champagne (Director), Sir George Martin (Musical Creation), Ringo Starr, Giles Martin (Musical Creation), Sir Paul McCartney, Olivia Harrison, Guy Laliberté (Owner of Cirque du Soleil).  Ryan is on the right end of the front row, wearing his costume from Sergeant Peppers Parade.

Below are a few shots from the rehearsal photos that are on the Cirque web site.  The performers are not in costume.   We added arrows to help you identify Ryan. (Sorry, it's a parent thing.)

This is from a scene near the beginning of the show.

Yes, you can barely see Ryan in the picture but any picture is better than no picture to a parent.

During this scene, Ryan and other artists do some cool bungee work.

This is near the middle of the show and is set to the music of Help!

Ryan and 3 other skaters perform synchronized skating on two half pipes that are only six ft. wide.

This is a scene to the  song Revolution near the end of the show.

A large group of artists bounce back and forth from trampolines embedded in the stage to the phone booth in time to the music.  At the end of the scene Ryan does a flip with a double twist over the top of the phone booth.

Below is a short, 25 second bootleg video that was uploaded to YouTube.com.  The guy bouncing into and out of the frame in the blue coat is Ryan.

At the end of June 2007, Cirque and the Beatles celebrated the first anniversary of LOVE with another reunion of Beatles and spouses.  They did an hour long TV program on Larry King but it had very few clips from the show.  They also unveiled photo plaques commorating George Harrison and John Lennon.  Below are a few photos from that ceremony.  Ryan is in his Sgt. Pepper costume again.  (Darn, always the same costume; a little variety would be nice.)

Below is a 9 minute video that Dad pulled down from YouTube.com.  It has clips from several numbers in the show.  It has quite a bit more content than the preview clips now available on the Cirque web site.

Ryan is in the clips labeled: Get Back (on bungee), Rock & Roll Run, Help (skater), Sergeant Peppers Parade (big bass drum), Revolution, and Hey Jude.

Beware that this file is about 27MB, so it will take quite a bit of time to download, however, it will download in the background as you view other areas of the site and you can start playback before the file is fully downloaded. :-)
